The stage includes the following destinations: Pesaro

Pesaro is an attractive seaside resort in Northern Marche; it has 7 km of wide sandy beach. It is an ideal holiday destination for families; for a more secluded beach with green hills as a backdrop, Baia Flaminia just to the north of the centre is the best. The city has always been connected with the sea: the Museum Washington Patrignani documents the tradition and the history of Pesaro’s Maritime Culture.
Must see attractions in the historic centre are: the Palazzo Ducale ,the Cathedral, the Musei Civici , the Pinacoteca and the modest house where Italy's great opera composer Gioacchino Rossini was born in 1792; the annual Rossini Opera Festival in August has earned a world-wide reputation. On the sea front there’s the Villino Ruggeri, one of the finest examples of the 20th century Italian Liberty style. Pesaro is in the area of the regional park of Monte San Bartolo; you can’t miss touring Casteldimezzo, Fiorenzuola di Focara e Santa Marina Alta, lovely villages overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

  • Fano
    0721 8871
The stage includes the following destinations: Fano

Fano is a seaside resort in northern Marche, boasting one of Italy’s most ancient Carnival.
The history of Fano dates back to 2,000 years : it was the largest roman settlement on the Adriatic Sea. It was both an important port and crossroad where the Via Flaminia from Rome met the main coastal route. The Arco di Augusto, a splendid Roman triumphal arch, built in 2 AD under the order of the Emperor Augusto, provides a fitting gateway to the town and is part of Augusto's ambitious project to smarten up the Empire's road network, marking the arrival of the Via Flaminia on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. The railway splits the old town from the modern resort that has grown up along two stretches of fine beach. To the southeast runs the Spiaggia Sassonia, a long strand of pebbled beach with a wide promenade. To the northwest runs the shorter Spiaggia Lido. Between the two beaches lies the fishing port. There’s also a well equipped marina, able to accommodate a large number of berths. “Brodetto alla fanese” is the most typical dish, based on local fish and fresh seafood; you can’t miss the local “Moretta”, a strong drink made with coffee, rum, anise and brandy.

  • Senigallia
    +39 071 7922725
The stage includes the following destinations: Senigallia

Since 1853 Senigallia has been one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Adriatic Coast with its thirteen kilometres of golden sands, the famous Velvet Beach.
Senigallia can boast the prestigious Blue Flag label, that is awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education to environmentally well-kept beaches across Europe. The important "eco-label" is given to sites that meet strict criteria including water quality, environmental management, safety and other services.

Senigallia's pride is also the large number of good restaurants where you can try the best of the Adriatic catch.
There is a wide range of accommodation facilities, attracting tourists from Italy and all over the world. Many events are organized especially in Summer time. The most popular one is Summer Jamboree, a rock festival taking place in August. Although its prosperity nowadays depends on tourism, Senigallia is a town with a long history. Its name bears witness to its earliest inhabitants - the Galli Senoni, a Celtic tribe who settled here around the 4thC BC.
The finest monument is the old fort, the Rocca Roveresca, built in 1480; it’s a splendid example of military architecture, witnessing the various stages of its construction, from Roman time to Renaissance.

The city of Ancona is located on the coast of central Adriatic on a promontory formed by the northern slopes of Monte Conero. The port of Ancona is one the most important ports on the Adriatic Sea: it’s a fishing, tourist, commercial and industrial port. The oldest part of town straddles Colle Guasco, the hill above the port. On its peak, stands Ancona's finest and most remarkable church, the Medieval Cathedral of San Ciriaco. There are different beaches near Ancona: Passetto is the “urban beach”, featuring white-grey color rocks and the so-called “grotte” (caves), that were carved by fishermen to provide shelters for their small-sized fishing boats.

To the north of Ancona the sandy beach of Palombina is more suitable for both children and families. Just south of Ancona rises the solitary limestone peak of Monte Conero whose steep slopes slide down to the sea; the bay of Portonovo, protected by the Regional Park of Monte Conero, is one of the prettiest white pebbled beach on the whole of the Northern Adriatic shore. On the bay, often crowded, there are few restaurants with a breathtaking view balcony serving fish dishes. “Della Vela” beach is a spectacular beach with a rock, shaped like a sail. It's a free public beach, at the very end of the south versant of the bay. The beach of Mezzavalle adds a touch of wilderness and scenery to the beauties of the bay. Once in Ancona you can’t miss the two most typical and famous dishes : the Ancona stockfish (stoccafisso all’anconetana) and the “brodetto” (fish stew). A glass of Rosso Conero (local red wine) is recommended.
