The Regional Information and Environmental Education System (INFEA) of the Marche consists of a well-structured regional network formed by 44 centers, of which 17 are located in Parks and Nature Reserves and 27 within the region, and whose activities are carried out following a networking logic. 
In Parks and Nature Reserves the Centers for Environmental Education (CEA), are important realities that perform information, training and environmental education activities for citizens in general and in particular for young students. They also organize guided tours to discover the area using qualified guides (tourism, nature, hiking guides, etc..). Their activities, defined as part of a three-year regional sector plan, is coordinated by the same managing institutions of Parks and Nature Reserves.

  • Pietrarubbia - Visitor Center of Sasso Simone e Simoncello Park

    Pontecappuccini Park Visitor Center has been reorganized and enlarged as far as structure and content are concerned.
    Currently, the structure is not only an information point and Park Visitor Center, but it also has several functions thanks to the versatility of its premises, favored by the large conference and didactic halls.
    An ideal departure point for hikes and guided visits, the new Center is equipped with explanation panels dedicated to the local territory and is also available to organize exhibits, courses, and workshops.

    In these offices you will find some areas dedicated to education and information: conference hall with videoprojector which can also be connected to the PC, multimedia hall with multimedia equipment and equipped tourist welcome office.
    It 'a visitor center extends throughout the territory of the Community Montana Esino-Frasassi, as for the implementation of activities, as well as the headquarters of Operations Serra San Quirico, you need all the facilities available: Park House Arcevia, Park House San Vittore di Genga and Casa del Parco di Fabriano Castelletta. Here in the hall dedicated to Francesco Stelluti, astronomer and member of the Accademia dei Lincei from Fabriano, houses the new Planetarium Digitarium, inaugurated on 8th May 2011. With this new digital planetarium, unequalled in our Region and in the surroundings, it will be possible to carry out fascinating virtual journeys through time and into space. The Planetarium will be a useful didactic instrument for school groups visiting the Park, since they will have the opportunity to thoroughly study the universe surrounding us.

    Thanks to its large car park, the outdoor didactic itinerary, and the indoor equipped halls, the Visitor Center to Sirolo is a multipurpose structure able to deal with the first approach between tourists and the Park and to promote integration between the Park and its residents. 
    In the front office of the Visitor Center, visitors will receive all the necessary information to discover the Park, freely moving along its trails or joining one of the several proposals of the rich calendar of guided visits and activities organized to meet the tastes and needs of each visitor.
    Cultural initiatives, events, and activities for children are periodically organized in the indoor halls of the structure and in the big outdoor theater.

    In the structure in front of the Abbey church, in a section of the premises housing in the past the guest house and the infirmary of the monastery, various services at the disposal of the visitors have been created.
    The Visitor Center of Abbadia di Fiastra Nature Reserve, recently opened, is suitable for visitors at any age and from any school grade: it includes instruments like panels, videos, and various games. It gives the opportunity to directly approach the history of Chiaravalle di Fiastra Abbey and to discover the animals and plants populating the Reserve.
    Here it is also possible to purchase gadgets and clothes with the symbol of the Reserve.

    There are ongoing measures to create adequate structures housing the Park Offices and Visitor Center, as well as to renovate Casale Piscini.
    Among the measures implemented by the Park, we remember the establishment of "Renzo Videsott" C.E.A. (Environmental Education Center).

  • Fiastra - Visitor Center and Wildlife Area of the Chamois of the Apennines

    The Visitor Center on Chamois in Fiastra houses Casa del Parco houses Casa del Parco and manages Bolognola wildlife area, created within the project Life Nat. 2002 "conservation of Rupicapra pyrenaica ornata in the Central Apennines". At the moment, the area (about 3 ha) houses three specimens of Abruzzo Chamois in a semi-wild state.
    Services offered to visitors: information on the opportunities to visit the area of Sibillini: directions, accommodation, activities (trekking and mountaineering, mountain biking, horse riding, etc.); promotion and booking of the tours and interpretation activities suggested by the Park Tour Guides; sale of information, promotional, and commercial material regarding Monti Sibillini National Park.

    Besides the Casa del Parco, the Visitor Center in Cessapalombo houses the Charcoal Pile Museum, dedicated to the art of charcoal-making: a traditional profession with ancient secrets. The House/Garden of the Butterflies is situated in Montalto di Cessapalombo country hamlet, and consists of three exhibit and didactic halls, as well as of a large garden reproducing the natural habitat for the reproduction of butterflies, with wetlands. Specific flower essences are documented in special descriptive and didactic panels situated along the way.

    The Center, also housing the Casa del Parco, was born to collect and communicate the extraordinary richness and charm of a past in which art, history, and literature have combined with legends, myths, and magic. A departure point for studies and research activities, documentation, management and enhancement of the historical and artistic heritage of the territory.
    Services offered to visitors are the information on the opportunities to visit the area of Sibillini: directions, accommodation, activities (trekking and mountaineering, mountain biking, horse riding, etc.), the promotion and booking of the tours and interpretation activities suggested by the Park Tour Guide, the information on the rules of behavior to follow in the protected area and sale of information, promotional, and commercial material regarding Monti Sibillini National Park.

    Due to the earthquake occurred in central Italy in 2016, the Center is closed.

    The name "Centro Due Parchi" (The Two Parks Center) derives from the fact that Arquata del Tronto is the one and only Municipality in Europe situated within two National Parks, Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park and Monti Sibillini National Park.
    The management is Forestalp, cooperative that operates twenty-eight years in the Marche region in the field of Environmental Education and Nature Tourism, with particular interest in the protected areas.

    After the earthquake occurred in 2016 the building has been badly damaged.
